Luka Doncic records triple-double in first game vs. Mavericks

LOS ANGELES — Luka Dončić was playing with emotion and seeking revenge against the Dallas Mavericks, who were visiting the Los Angeles Lakers on Tuesday night.

Dončić made a statement in his first game against his former team since being traded by the Mavericks earlier this month, recording his first triple-double wearing the purple and gold in a 107-99 victory.

Lakers coach JJ Redick told reporters during his pregame press conference that he was hoping his star guard would find a balance while still playing with a ‘killer mentality.’

Dončić was seen staring and often mouthing something in the direction of Dallas’ bench.
